Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Underarms.

Most clients enjoy smooth underarms for three to six weeks depending on hair growth rate. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and make hairs finer. Individual results vary with hormones, medications, and personal hair cycles; we recommend scheduling maintenance every four to six weeks.

Waxing removes hair from the root so it can be briefly uncomfortable, but most clients tolerate it well. Pain is usually less with skillful technique and hard wax. Shaving is painless but regrowth is quick; laser varies and often requires multiple sessions.

Arrive with clean, dry underarms free of lotions or deodorant. Hair should be about quarter-inch long for effective gripping by hard wax. Exfoliate gently 48 hours before and avoid sunburn, retinoids, or harsh products to reduce sensitivity.

Avoid heat, heavy workouts, saunas, and chlorinated pools for 24–48 hours. Keep the area clean, apply the provided reviving lotion to soothe and prevent ingrown hairs, and exfoliate gently after 48 hours to promote healthy regrowth.

We assess skin prior to waxing. Mild sensitivity can usually be managed with gentle technique and calming products, but active rashes, open wounds, or severe irritation may require postponement. Our estheticians will recommend alternatives or schedule a safer appointment once skin has healed.

Wait at least 6–12 hours before applying deodorant, and ideally 24 hours if you’re sensitive. Choose alcohol-free, hypoallergenic deodorants to minimize irritation. If redness or stinging continues, delay product use and consult our estheticians.
