Get answers to common questions about Wax Lower Lip.
Most clients enjoy smoothness for about three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth and hormones. Regular appointments can slow regrowth and make hair finer, allowing longer intervals between sessions for many people.
Because the session is quick and technicians use hard wax, discomfort is usually brief and manageable. Sensitive skin may feel more reactive; we use gentle techniques and antioxidant lotions to soothe and reduce sensitivity.
Allow hair to be about 1/4 inch long, avoid exfoliating or using retinoids 5–7 days before, and arrive with a clean, makeup-free lip area. Communicate any skin concerns to your technician before treatment.
Temporary redness, slight swelling, or tiny bumps are common and usually resolve within 24–48 hours. Applying our antioxidant replenishing lotion and avoiding heat or sun exposure helps reduce irritation and speed recovery.
Topical retinoids increase skin sensitivity; we recommend pausing them at least one to two weeks prior to waxing. If you use prescription products, consult with your provider and inform your technician so we can perform a safe patch test.
Frequency varies, but most clients book every three to six weeks based on individual regrowth. Regular waxing tends to reduce hair thickness and frequency over time; your technician can recommend a personalized maintenance plan.
